Chris retired from IBM in July 2015 after 26 years, and rejoined the Marist community as a full time faculty member in the School of Computer Science & Mathematics. As a Professional Lecturer of Information Systems, he is teaching upper level electives to Juniors and Seniors.

Linda Gaines '07 completed three years of study receiving her Doctor of Education from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. Her dissertation focused on how faculty use web-based technologies both within and outside the learning management system(LMS) and how it affects student engagement. Dr. Gaines is currently teaching at Dutchess Community College and is an Academic Coach there. She has taught online for Marist in the past.

Eric Wrigley '13, and his combat robotics team, Bots FC, came in third place at the Orlando Maker Faire with his robot Mega Melvin. He hopes to become a contestant on the hit ABC show BattleBots.

Daniel Torres, Class of 2013, was appointed Deputy Supervisor of the Town of New Paltz in January of 2016. Torres is the youngest Deputy Supervisor in New Paltz history and was elected to the New Paltz Town Council in 2013.

Steven Sabato and Hollyn Rosen (both 2013) are engaged. The two met on their freshmen move-in day and have been a couple since then. They are planning a summer 2017 wedding

Kevin O'Neill '95/'00M is now the IT Services Manager at Crown Castle in Canonsburg, PA. He oversees a SharePoint Intranet as well as IT Training media. Crown Castle is the largest shared wireless service provider in the USA.

Al Celentano (Class of 1985) recently launched Liquid Capital of Northwest Atlanta in Cobb County, GA, where he has lived since 1998. Liquid Capital is an international company with offices in the USA, Canada and Mexico, providing financing and working capital to businesses. Promoted to rank of Major, June 2014 and will be deploying Fall 2014 to Jordan with the 50th IBCT, NJ Army National Guard, as Operations Officer. Assigned to a Military Engagement Team working to foster and further relationships with the Jordanian military.

In September, I will begin my teaching career at John A. Coleman Catholic High School in Hurley, New York, teaching Religion. I am also working on a second master's degree, this one in Theology, in a program for laypeople at St. Joseph's Seminary in Dunwoodie, New York.

Peter Whalen (Class of '91), a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, received his Master of Strategic Studies degree from the United States Army War College on June 6, 2014 at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania. Peter was one of only 22 Army Reserve officers selected to attend the resident program this academic year. The college educates and develops senior leaders for service at the strategic level while advancing knowledge in the global application of Landpower. The class of 2014 consisted of 308 US military and civilian leaders and 77 International Fellows from 67 countries.
Linda (Fame)Cavanaugh, '70, has been retired since 2008 from the Valley Central School District in Montgomery, NY, where she taught 6th grade for 32 years. She joined her husband, Ken, who had retired in 2001 as an Asst. Chief with the Newburgh Fire Dept., and has been enjoying a leisurely life. Plans include heading south to warmer environs within the next 2 years.

Margeaux Lippman ('09) married Jonah Hoskins on 02/15/14 in Seattle, WA. Margeaux is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Washington in the Communication department where she is specializing in rhetoric and critical/cultural studies. She is slated to graduate in 2015.

I recently retired from the New York State public school system after a 30-year career in the field of school finance. I spent the last 6 years of my career as the Assistant Superintendent for Finance & Operations of the Sewanhaka Central High School District in Floral Park, NY.
