Meet the Marist Fund Chairs

Marist Fund National Chair

Patrick Lavelle '73

Pat Lavelle is President and CEO of VOXX International Corporation. He joined the company when it was Audiovox in 1977, was appointed to its Board in 1993 and made CEO, President of Audiovox Corporation in 2005. The Company changed its name in 2011 to VOXX International.

Under Lavelle, the company has acquired a variety of well known audio brands that include Jensen, RCA, Advent, Acoustic Research, Phase Linear, Mac Audio, Magnat and Heco. Perhaps the most significant acquisition to date has been the addition of Klipsch, Jamo, Energy and Mirage to the company’s portfolio. Completed in early 2011, the Klipsch acquisition along with the company’s existing business has given Voxx #1 marketshare in the premium loudspeaker category at retail.

Additionally, the company has rapidly expanded its automotive OEM business and today supplies entertainment and/or remote security products to Ford, GM, Chrysler, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Mazda, Porsche, BMW and Bentley.

Additionally, Voxx Hirschmann GMBH is a major supplier of automotive antennas and digital tuners to the OEM market adding Daimler Benz, BMW, Audi, the Volkswagen group and Peugeot to its list of customers.

Most recently, Voxx has acquired Eyelock, a leader in biometric identification. This will extend Voxx’s scope to include perimeter access, infrastructure, IT, and password protection technology and products.

A veteran of the consumer electronics industry, Lavelle has been the Chairman of the Consumer Electronics Association and Executive Board. Currently, Pat currently sits on the CEA Executive Board as Industry Advisor.

Lavelle is a member of the Board of Trustees for Marist College. Pat, class of 1973, and his wife Patty, class of 1974, have three children, Michael, class of 2002, Meghan, and Katie. In his spare time, Lavelle enjoys boating, skiing, and golfing.

Tony and Sheila Lorello '86/'87

Tony Lorello graduated with a BS in Business Administration in 1986. While at Marist, Tony was an Admissions Intern and a member of the Judicial Board. He also has served on the Marist Alumni Board for the past four years. After college, Tony worked at Bear Sterns, ABN AMRO and Mizuho Securites in Bond Sales. He is currently a Managing Director of Bond Sales at Mesirow Securities in Manhattan. Tony is also a board member and the Vice President of the South Huntington Soccer Club.

Sheila Ethier Lorello graduated with a BS in Business Administration in 1987. During her time at Marist, Sheila was a student assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Upon graduation, she worked as an Internal Auditor for Chase Manhattan Bank and National Westminster Bank in New York. Currently, she is the owner of Sheila Lorello Photography, a newborn and family photography business on Long Island.

Meaghan Neary '12

Meaghan Neary is a 2012 graduate holding a B.A. in Communication with a minor in Business Administration. While at Marist, Meaghan served as vice president of the class of 2012 and co-chair of the 2012 Senior Class Gift Committee. Meaghan spent three of her years at Marist as a Resident Assistant and was an active member of many clubs and organizations. Through connections she formed on campus Meaghan was able to obtain internships at the American Cancer Society and the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

In 2012 Meaghan received the Alumni Leadership Award for her service and leadership throughout her time at Marist. Upon graduation, Meaghan began working as a Special Events Manager for the American Cancer Society and has remained in her role there for the past 3 years. She attributes her current success to the experiences and opportunities she was awarded at Marist. Meaghan has remained an active member of the Marist Community and is excited to continue her involvement by serving as Co-Chair of the Young Alumni Division. 

Patrick Massaroni '10

Patrick Massaroni graduated in 2010 with a BA in Communications and a minor Business Administration. Patrick also received his Masters of Science from James Madision University in 2012 studying Sports Management with a concentration in Kinesiology. During his time at Marist he served as a team manager for the Men’s Basketball program (06-09) and team manager for the Women’s Basketball program (09-10). Along with his involvement with the basketball programs, Patrick interned for the New York Mets and the Marist Sports Information Department. Patrick was also on the 2010 Marist Senior Class Gift Committee.

Patrick has also been involved with the White Plains Little League, Peace Outside Campus and other non for profit organizations.

Currently Patrick serves in an administrative role at the Archbishop Stepinac High School in Westchester County, New York working in the Alumni Office. Patrick also has held part time roles with the Brooklyn Nets, the Westchester Knicks and is currently the Head Basketball Coach at Archbishop Stepinac High School.

Rob began his insurance career in 1994 with Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield working with companies within the tri-state region of New York City. In 1997 he joined the Employee Benefits division of the Daniels Insurance Agency of NY Inc. In 2004 The Daniels Agency of New York, Inc. merged its stock with Rose & Kiernan, Inc. of East Greenbush, New York. Rob was appointed a Vice President with Rose & Kiernan in September of 2006.

A lifelong Dutchess County resident, Rob is a 1987 graduate from Our Lady of Lourdes High School and a 1992 graduate of Marist College with a degree in Public Relations.

Rob’s community involvement includes being the current Chairman of the Board for CAPE, The Council on Addiction, Prevention and Education. He is also a current board member of St. Francis Hospital Foundation, Vassar Warner Home (Secretary), St. Simeon and the Hudson Valley Renegades Pitch for Kids Foundation. Rob is the current President of the Our Lady of Lourdes Alumni Association and Chairman for the Marist College Hudson Valley Scholars program. He is also active with the Westchester and Mid Hudson Societies of Human Resource Management. As a LaGrange Rotarian he is a co-chairman for the annual golf committee. He is also the co-chair for the St. Martin de Porres School golf committee.

In 2008 Rob was a Dutchess County 40 under 40 Award recipient. He was a nominee for the United Way Spirit of Dutchess County and a Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce Headliner Award winner for Dedicated Community Service.

Rob currently live in LaGrange, New York with his wife Maureen and two children, Emma and Robert.

Jenn Dunn
The Jen Dunn Agency Inc., State Farm Insurance

Jen Dunn, is the owner of The Jen Dunn Agency Inc, State Farm Insurance.  Jen has been serving State Farm clients since 1987 and is now located locally in LaGrange, NY.  Jen is a strong believer of continued education has earned her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.  She graduated from State University College at Plattsburgh, NY with a BS in Management. Jen is currently Vice President of the LaGrange Sunrise Rotary, serves on the Board of Directors for the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, is a Foundation Board member for Council on Addiction Prevention and Education and co-chair of the Marist Hudson Valley Scholars Committee.  She works closely with the Arlington Central School district, bringing "Celebrate My Drive" campaign to the district and is a Teen Driving panelist speaker for all high schools throughout communities in Dutchess County.

Jen resides in LaGrange, NY with her husband, Brian and children, Nicholas and Julia.

Sean Kaylor '90
Vice President for Enrollment Management

Sean received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Marist in 1990. He began his career at Marist in the Office of Admission as an Assistant Director and was promoted to Associate Director in 1993.  He became Vice President of Admission and Enrollment Planning in 1998.

Sean is a Past President of the New York State Association for College Admission Counseling and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Saint Bernard School.  Sean is an active member of the Marist College Community and served as Marist Fund Campus Campaign Chair in 2001.

Sean lives in Poughkeepsie with his wife Paula and two daughters, Kate and Samantha.
