Dedication of Communication and Media Studies Internship Program Office in Memory of Robert C. Norman

Join us in remembering Bob who was a Professor Emeritus of Communication and also founded and directed the Communication Internship Program at Marist for more than 30 years.

 

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26

Habitat for Humanity of Marist College: Alumni Build

Poughkeepsie, NY
8 a.m. – Noon

Space is limited and “first come, first served” and registration is required in advance. Volunteers must be 16 or older to participate and are required to sign a waiver and be accompanied by an adult if under 18.

OPEN HOUSE: Lowell Thomas Communications Center

Take a self-guided tour through the recently renovated center, named in memory of the legendary broadcast pioneer, where the College’s largest academic discipline resides and features facilities such as the Center for Sports Communication, a 70-seat screening theatre, TV studio and multimedia production facilities, video editing labs, and computer labs.

Alumni Family Picnic

Noon–4 p.m.

Each attendee will receive a complimentary snack and beverage (does not include bottled Pepsi products or alcohol.) Lunch items, additional beverages, beer, and wine will be available for purchase or you are welcome to bring a picnic lunch. Reunion classes will have designated areas and there will be plenty of activities for children, including inflatable rides, face painting, crafts, and a special visit from Shooter the Fox. Outside alcohol and pets are not permitted.

Eighth Annual Marist Swimming and Diving Alumni Golf Outing

Marist swimming and diving alumni, families and friends are invited to join teammates, coaches and friends for breakfast and a round of golf at Casperkill Golf Club in Poughkeepsie. The cost is $100 per person and includes greens fees, driving range, cart, breakfast, prizes and a donation to the Marist Swimming and Diving Program. Cash and checks are accepted.
