APPLICATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 20, 2025
The Alumni Legacy Scholarship is awarded to children of Marist graduates who have shown outstanding academic and leadership qualities throughout their high school careers and possess the potential to succeed at Marist. A scholarship is awarded annually to an incoming freshman or transfer student at the start of his/her fall semester. All children of Marist graduates, who have been admitted by the Office of Admissions and plan to enter the University in the fall as a freshman or transfer student, automatically receive an application after the traditional May 1st Admissions deposit deadline.
Applications are reviewed by a committee comprised of several members of the Alumni Association Executive Board, one admission counselor, and the Executive Director of Alumni Relations. Awards are renewed for up to three additional years provided the recipients remain in good academic standing. If you have questions about the application process, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at MaristAlumni@marist.edu or (845) 575-3283.
Before you start the application, be sure to have a letter of recommendation and essay ready to upload. For the essay, in 500 words or less: How have you given back and/or supported your school and/or community?
